DIY Tuesday
Hey all! There are 2 kinds of people in this world. Those who drink coffee, and those who don't. I am a coffee drinker, or as some might say, a Starbucks addict. I go at least every second day and it finally got me to thinking, I could probably make my very own Iced Vanilla Latte at home for way less than $5.00 a cup. So this morning, that is what I set out to do.
What you need:
1 1/2 Cups Milk (skim, 1%, 2%, soy.. anything you want)... I usually use skim so I don't feel guilty
1/2 Cup Coffee or 2 Shots Espresso (I have a keurig at home, so I make the smallest cup of coffee so it is stronger, if you are making your own coffee, use twice the amount of grounds but the same about of water as usual)
Vanilla syrup (you can buy this at any coffee shop or you can use syrup or make your own here)
Ice
You can play around with the quantities as you like. More milk will have less of a coffee taste and less milk will have a stronger coffee taste, try it half and half too! It's all up to your flavor preferences.
Pour milk into your mug or tumbler, mix in 2 tbsp of vanilla syrup, carefully add ice, pour coffee over top, stir and enjoy.
For Caramel Macchiato's, use caramel syrup and caramel sauce on top and voila!
Do you have any home made coffee drinks that you absolutely love?! Let me know!

My Weekend
I would make a collage, but my weekend consisted of working, sleeping and a rain filled Sunday. Working 2 jobs really sucks all your energy right out of you! I leave for BC in 3 weeks and I cannot wait! Is there any stops or places I must see while I'm there? Comment below and let me know!
On a side note, The 90's Life on twitter reminded me of the one and only time that I was not in love with Justin Timberlake..
Seriously? The denim cowboy hat was just icing on the cake. I'm sorry JT but this is just not a good look for you. Give @the90slife a follow on twitter and while you're at it, follow me! The link is on the side.

Blown Away: New Music Wednesday
Well folks, Carrie Underwood has done it again. As I mentioned in my first post her newest album, Blown Away, is one of my favorites this week. iTunes let you stream it for free for a week before its release and now it is released for sale as of yesterday. It's got such a great mix of songs; songs about love, revenge and self esteem.
Ever since her win back in 2005 on American Idol, Carrie has been my idol (pun intended). She is a down to earth girl with an amazing gift of singing. Also, I really admire the fact that she won a talent show based on live performances. No auto-tune here ladies and gents! I've seen her live in concert and it sounds just like the album. She's one gifted girl.
Songs from the album you should take a listen to:
Nobody Ever Told You (the inspiration for the title of this blog)
Blown Away
Do You Think About Me
